There are three primary goals of the Burnout Section: (1) to provide background on physician burnout with an emphasis on identifying signs and symptoms, and (2) to provide a needs assessment tool which can help determine the contributors to burnout and build strategies for the systems-level changes required to make positive change towards enhancing physician well-being, and (3) to provide a few practical examples of how to improve physician well-being.
